ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
The Abbotsford Division of Family Practice is a member-driven organization that supports and promotes Family Physicians in providing primary care in all its forms for the City of Abbotsford.

The Divisions of Family Practice is an innovation of health care in British Columbia, designed to support and advocate for family physicians, increase primary health care capacity, and improve patient health outcomes. The Abbotsford Division of Family Practice (the Division) is a non-profit society governed by a Board of Directors with membership comprised of 171 physicians and Nurse Practitioners in Abbotsford, BC.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director has direct oversight of operations including staff leadership, financial sustainability, as well as the coordination of the day-to-day operations, programming, and services. The Executive Director builds and maintains strong relationships with the Board, staff, health care providers, government agencies and the broader community with a commitment to ensuring a high level and quality of care.

This is a challenging and dynamic opportunity for a non-profit leader who is committed to the advancement and support of primary healthcare. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic and organizational abilities with excellent interpersonal, communications, financial, and member-service skills. The preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in a relevant program area or field, complimented by five (5) or more years of leadership and management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector, including human resource, operations, financial, and change management. A combination of education, competencies, and experience will also be considered.

The Executive Director position is an in-person role with some flexibility to be virtual/hybrid, which may require attendance at early morning, evening, and occasional weekend meetings. Travel may be required across the region as well as to provincial meetings. A valid driver’s license and access to a car are required.

The salary range for this role is: $120,000 - $140,000.
