ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
The Richmond Division of Family Practice (the Division) provides and supports primary care programs and services across the traditional and linked lands of the Musqueam, Stz’uminus, Kwantlen, Stó:lō, Tsawwassen and Coast Salish First Peoples.

The Division is a local non-profit society that is part of a province wide initiative designed to improve patient care, increase family physician influence on health care delivery and design, and enhance professional satisfaction for physicians. The Division has over 220 physician members and is led by a Board of Directors, and works in collaboration with Vancouver Coastal Health, BC’s Ministry of Health, and community organizations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Controller is responsible for overseeing the Division’s daily accounting operations for our organization. The Controller is responsible for the delivery of all financial functions, budget preparation, monitoring and reporting, including the annual audit. Working closely with the Executive Director and other Division stakeholders/leads to ensure an efficient, accurate and fiscally responsible organization.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant post-secondary education and training, supplemented with an additional 3+ years’ experience in operations, health sector, and non-profit organizations and 3+ years of experience in administering payroll and benefits. The ideal candidate will have advanced organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills grounded in strong professional judgement. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This is a part-time role, with a maximum of 20 hours per week with the understanding hours may increase during busier times such as Fiscal Year End and the Annual Audit. This position will be a hybrid remote/in-person role from the central office in Richmond, working with the rest of the team. On occasion, there may be early morning or early evening meetings/events which may require your attendance.
