The Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) seeks to improve the health of rural people and communities of British Columbia by supporting physician and healthcare provider health and practice, growing relationships through collaboration and partnerships, augmenting feedback loops and enhancing innovation. These goals are achieved through communication, facilitation, collaboration, evaluation, and sharing of best practices.

RCCbc supports and develops provincial initiatives by engaging and coordinating with rural healthcare providers to facilitate the development of local and/or regional solutions, frameworks, and networks. Though rural-focused, RCCbc sees value in applying rural solutions to benefit all health professionals facing similar challenges.

RCCbc advocates for greater equity in rural, remote, and Indigenous healthcare in British Columbia, and supports rural health education improvements through collaboration, communication, and ongoing relationship building.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations, the Provincial Manager is responsible for providing leadership, support, and oversight to the RCME Community Program and Rural Programs’ Liaisons Project via the RCCbc, including program/project design, implementation and sustainability of staffing roles, budget oversight and reporting, and provincial administration of the RCME Community Program. The Provincial Manager will liaise with members of RCCbc and their committee members as well as various rural community representatives, physicians, Health Authority, representatives, Ministry representatives, the JSC and organizations and individuals that are connected to the rural program’s portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced management leader with a passion for people and rural community programming. The preferred candidate will leverage education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in health research, healthcare or clinical research discipline or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years of practical quality, project coordination or research work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

The salary range for this role is $72,000 – 103,000/year.
