Canada SCORES Vancouver (CSV) believes in a world where youth can find their voice, achieve their goals and reach their full potential. We run a complimentary after-school program that uses a unique combination of soccer, poetry and community service experiences to empower our participants to lead healthy lives, be engaged students and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We began our programming in 2014 and now support over 200 kids a year in the Burnaby, Surrey and New Westminster School Districts.
Given our program's focus on poetry, we would be thrilled to have a writer, or someone active in Metro Vancouver's Arts Community join our board! More than 70% of the kids in our program are visible minorities, and as we would like our Board to reflect our community, preference will be given to applicants who are Indigenous, Black or visible minorities.Qualifications:
