ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
Looking Glass FoundationTM was co-founded in 2002 by three families seeking care for their loved ones, who were suffering from life-threatening eating disorders. With commitment and courage, these families established Canada’s first eating disorder live-in treatment program for youth, which is now operated in collaboration with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).

Looking Glass Foundation also offers three peer support programs: Online Peer Support (virtual), Personal Recovery Space (virtual), and Hand in Hand (hybrid). These programs are facilitated by trained and supported volunteers. In 2021, a new program was established - Looking Glass Counselling | Bridge the GapTM. This program offers affordable one-to-one therapeutic support to individuals who are affected by eating disorders and provides a meaningful learning experience for students in the field of counselling. The Foundation also has a scholarship program, and Foundation board and staff provide in-person, telephone, and email support to hundreds of people each year.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs & Operations will be responsible for the operational success of Looking Glass Foundation. The Director will lead and support the expansion of new and existing programs, services, and organizational capacity including enhancing accessible virtual and in-person programming. The Director will mentor and develop a team through a lens and commitment to equitable, inclusive mental health care, fostering a positive and respectful workplace across employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, community-driven leader who is dedicated to innovative, sustainable, and inclusive non-profit programs and services. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of programs and operations including the ability to bring a vision to expand and diversify the Foundation’s scope, leveraging digital technology to support service delivery and organizational excellence. The role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills, with a commitment to seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and skills will be considered.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $80,000 – $90,000. A clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
